Abstract The generalized SU(2) Proca theory is a vector-tensor modified gravity where the action invariant under both diffeomorphisms and global internal transformations of group. This work constitutes first approach to investigate physical properties at astrophysical scales. We have found solutions that naturally generalize particle-like Einstein-Yang-Mills equations, also known as gauge boson stars. Under requirement must be static, asymptotically flat, globally regular, t'Hooft-Polyakov magnetic monopole configuration for vector field rises one viable possibility. been obtained analytically through asymptotic expansions numerically by solving boundary value problem. new features in such regions with negative effective energy density imaginary charge. kind charged some region parameter space theory. Furthermore, we constructed equilibrium sequences turning points cases. These results hint towards existence stable which are absent case.
